Project Management

Our customers want a quality product, delivered on-time and at a competitive price. IBMC provides a Project Management program to accomplish this. The program controls critical factors of quality, schedules/progress, and cost.

Quality Assurance (Q.A.) plans are created for all jobs. The plans are based on internal quality standards and on the specific requirements of the individual customer. Please refer to the QUALITY section for additional information.

IBMC uses a variety of computer-based scheduling techniques to plan and control individual projects. The final scheduling/reporting technique used on a specific job depends on the complexity of the job as well as on the requirements of the customer. Currently IBMC has standardized on Microsoft Project.

The Project Management program creates and maintains a master schedule for the project in compliance with the requirements of the order. The master schedule is supported with detailed schedules and progress reports submitted to IBMC by all involved disciplines, departments and subcontractors.

Appropriate milestones are included in these schedules to allow a clear assessment of progress versus the tangible milestones.

Progress against Plan is reviewed and verified by IBMC on a regular basis. On-site verification is undertaken for all critical items. Recovery plans, if required, are formulated by the supplier in sync with IBMC. Corrective action is taken immediately during any time the promised delivery date exceeds the required delivery date.

Frequency of reports to the customer is determined by the complexity of the job and its’ duration. The reports are supplied to our customers with a narrative and bar chart production schedule indicating completed progress.

Experience has proven that good communications internally and externally keep a project on schedule and on cost objectives.

IBMC holds meetings on a regular basis with our overseas partners via video/tele-conferencing to communicate plans and progress, and to resolve any outstanding problems in a brainstorming type of atmosphere. The combination of these internal meetings and close communications with our customer and suppliers has led to competitively priced quality products.
